The Blue Mountain Restaurant is a new beacon in the up and coming area of Wickersley on East Bawtry road in Rotherham. The head chef and overseer of the restaurant is David Hussey, who is bringing his 13 years experience of restaurant cooking in both Sheffield, and Sydney to the intimate environment, of a 40 cover modern bistro style restaurant. Situated on the Tanyard above Carol Ann boutique, the restaurant is decorated in an original but contemporary style with a fully licensed bar. There is a comfortable reception area where you can enjoy a glass of wine and some olives while looking at the menu. The original menu is a contemporary mix of modern Mediterranean with some Caribbean influences, using the finest, fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The concept is not to re-produce traditional recipes, but for David to devise new dishes and add his personal twist and flair to those more recognised, in order to make the menu as vibrant and exciting as possible |
